Vector Portrait

My main objective was to keep the piece as similar to the original picture as possible while also simplifying the different values. I primarily used the pen tool to make this project. The pen tool helps to make smooth, accurate selections, and also creates a path that saves when you close the program. I was able to fulfill the requirements of the rubric by zooming in and getting as many of the different values as possible. I also used a fill layer in the hair to make sure there were no empty spaces. Finally, I went back and added any curves needed to make the edges of the selections smoother and more rounded. I had trouble with timing; I took a lot of time to make the hair and had to restart the hair and make it simpler in order to finish the project. I am happy with the completed project, despite needing to simplify the hair. The hair still looks close to the original picture, and it looks very accurate so I am happy with it.
