My main objective was to put multiple picture together to make a more interesting image. We used the channels, the polygonal lasso tool, the pen tool and levels. I had difficulty in making a selection that was smooth and didn't leave out any sections of the original picture. I used channels to select images without the background, as well as the select and mask tool. I liked using select and mask, even though it was a little difficult, because it got the small strands of hair that I missed when using the channels tool. Using a layer mask made sure the image that masked the other was the same exact shape as the other picture, and didn't let it extend past the edge of the first picture. In the Duo-Tone project, I used a gradient background because I like how the Channels fade and change colors with the gradient. Near the purple side of the background, the channels were darker, while they were lighter near the blue part of the background.
